The After School Center provides supervised child care for Lower and Middle School students through the After School Center for Springside and Chestnut Hill Academy students (grades Pre-K to 4) and the Middle School After School Study Hall (Springside students only).

The After School Center provides a program of enrichment and entertainment for your young learners in a fun, friendly, and safe environment. We understand that children come from a rigorous day of school and the afternoon should be a time when they can relax, visit their friends, participate in sports, and get homework done. We are here to continue to help our children learn and grow in the after school hours. With the appropriate mix of choice and structured activities, the ASC makes an excellent option for playdates. As well as providing flexibility to families unable to pick up their children at the end of the school day, the After School Center offers a great convenience to those who would like a little extra time in the afternoons.

Daily Schedule
At the end of the school day, ASC staff walk boys from Chestnut Hill Academy to meet the girls in Springside's cafeteria where the program begins with a snack. Following snack, students participate in the planned daily activities: outdoor or indoor play, study hall, computer lab, crafts, and games. While ASC is structured, children are encouraged to choose which activities they will take part in to ensure that they have the mix of fun that is just right for them each day.

Enrichment Program
We will be offering a variety of exciting extracurricular courses throughout the year that will meet once a week for eight-week sessions. These courses will be available at an additional charge and are open to boys and girls from Pre-K to 8th grade (Some courses will be limited to specific age groups).  Keep your eyes open for information about our upcoming selections.

All-Day Programs and Special Events
The After School Center will provide all-day care for families on CHA and Springside’s in-service and conference days. Stay tuned for more information on dates, plans, and registration.
