Springside junior Nicole Volgraf has made a verbal commitment to continue her field hockey career at Indiana University. Several top programs in the country were recruiting Nicole before she decided on IU. Nicole chose Indiana because of the big school feeling with a lot of school spirit. “I connected immediately with the coach and thought she could turn me into the player that I have the potential to be,” says Volgraf. “The recruiting process was amazing with American University and Richmond, but in the end I felt IU was the perfect fit for me as a school and a field hockey program.”

Coach Tara Maguire, Volgraf’s coach the last two seasons at Springside, indicates that Nicole’s specialty is her “nose for the goal.” She has an uncanny ability to find the goal in almost every situation. The Springside community is extremely proud of Nicole and celebrates her accomplishment!
